ST. LOUIS (AP) - A former top executive at Anheuser-Busch has been turned down in her request for a new trial.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1poLyMf) reports that the decision on Francine Katz's motion was announced Tuesday.
Katz was once the highest-ranking female executive at the brewery. She sued her former employer claiming gender discrimination. A jury ruled in favor of Anheuser-Busch in May.
Katz, in her motion for a new trial, claimed jury instruction and other errors.
Katz left Anheuser-Busch after a 20-year career and filed suit in 2009, alleging she was underpaid because of her gender. She sought $9.4 million in missed compensation and about $5 million in interest.
