ST. JAMES, Mo. - Nicole Martin scored 16 points and Megan Foster added 15 to lift the Jefferson City Lady Jays to a 45-36 victory against Ursuline Academy on Saturday in the St. James Shootout.
Jefferson City led 11-8 after one quarter and took a 25-18 advantage into halftime of the contest.
Ursuline climbed to within three at 34-31 midway through the final period before Jefferson City was able to pull away for the victory.
Caroline Bender paced Ursuline (0-1) with 10 points.
Jefferson City (1-1) will host Rolla on Monday. The junior varsity game is slated for a 6 p.m. start, followed by the varsity contest around 7:30 p.m.
