FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) - A'ja Wilson scored 11 points and Jatarie White added 10 to help No. 1 South Carolina beat Wisconsin 67-44 on Thursday in the Junkanoo Jam.

It was South Carolina's first game as the No. 1 team. The Gamecocks (4-0) will face No. 22 Syracuse on Friday.

After a sluggish start, the Gamecocks got going. They led 15-14 before going on a 16-4 run to close the half. South Carolina scored the first 10 points during the burst that was capped by Tina Roy's 3-pointer.

The Gamecocks led 31-18 at the half. Wisconsin (1-3) closed to 11 but South Carolina used a 12-3 run to put the game away. Michala Johnson scored 13 to lead the Badgers.

NO. 22 SYRACUSE 69, E. CAROLINA 58

FREEPORT, Bahamas (AP) - Alexis Peterson matched her career high with 19 points and Syracuse beat East Carolina in the Junkanoo Jam.

Brianna Butler and Briana Day had 13 points each for Syracuse (4-0). I'Tiana Taylor had a career-high 22 points in her first-career start for East Carolina (5-1).

ILLINOIS 77, NO. 9 KENTUCKY 71

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Chatrice White scored 23 points and Ivory Crawford added 22 to help Illinois upset Kentucky at the Paradise Jam.

Illinois (5-0) led 40-39 early in the second half before scoring eight straight, including the last four by Crawford to open a nine-point lead. Kyley Simmons' 3-pointer with 9:45 left extended the advantage to 57-45 before Kentucky (4-1) rallied to cut it to 66-63 with 2:15 left.

Simmons hit nine of 10 free throws over the rest of the game to seal the victory. The Illini will play South Florida on Friday in the round-robin event.

Makayla Epps scored 20 points to lead the Wildcats, who will face Oklahoma on Friday.

NO. 19 OREGON STATE 85, BUTLER 53

LAIE, Hawaii (AP) - Ali Gibson scored 20 points and Sydney Wiese had 19, with both hitting five 3-pointers, in Oregon State's victory over Butler in the Tom Weston Invitational.

Jamie Weisner added 13 points for the Beavers (4-0).

Oregon State made 15 of 28 3-pointers with 11 coming on 16 attempts in the first half when the Beavers took a 49-31 lead. Gibson was 4 of 4 and Wiese 4 of 5 from long range in the opening 20 minutes.

Ijeoma Uchendu scored 12 points for the Bulldogs (0-6).
