ELDON - Linn rimmed-out a potential game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, as the Wildcats dropped their season opener to Eldon, 54-52, on Monday.
The Mustangs outshot Linn behind the arc, making eight treys to Linn's three.
Blake Snyder led the Wildcats with 13 points. Ben Klebba had 11, and Daulton Niederhelm had 10.
Eldon was led by Graham Baucom's 19 points.
The Wildcats led after the first and second quarters, 15-12 and 32-29, respectively, but Eldon led after three quarters, 43-42.
Linn (0-1) hosts Southern Boone on Dec. 4.
