The Jefferson City Police Department will be joining efforts with statewide law enforcement Monday for an aggressive "Click It or Ticket" mobilization to get more motorists to wear their seat belts.
Authorities said despite evidence showing the benefits of wearing a seat belt, nearly one in four Missouri motorists do not wear a seat belt when they drive.
They also noted that in 2013, of those killed in vehicle crashes in Missouri, 62 percent were unrestrained.
