STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Breanna Stewart scored 25 points and added 10 rebounds on Sunday, as top-ranked UConn bounced back from its first loss in 48 games with a 96-60 rout of Creighton.

Stewart hit all 10 of shots for the Huskies (2-1), who haven't lost consecutive games since 1993.

Freshman Kia Nurse made her first start and added 22 points for UConn. Morgan Tuck, who played just eight games last season before having major reconstructive surgery on her right knee, finished with 15 points.

Marissa Janning, last season's Big East Player of the Year, scored 15 points to pace Creighton (2-2). Alexis Akin-Otiko added 12 points.

UConn scored the first nine points and never trailed, leading by 21 points at halftime.

A 3-pointer for Nurse in the second half capped an 11-0 run to make it 64-34, and the Huskies cruised from there.

No. 2 SOUTH CAROLINA 89, SAN DIEGO STATE 38

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Tiffany Mitchell made all six of her 3-pointers and scored 20 points as No. 2 South Carolina auditioned for the top spot in the country beating San Diego State.

The Gamecocks (3-0) overwhelmed the Aztecs with defense, forcing 29 turnovers and holding San Diego State to 29 percent (14-of-49) shooting.

The Aztecs (1-3) led just once, at 6-5 with 15:56 left in the first half. The Gamecocks went on a 33-2 run over nearly the next 12 minutes, forcing 12 turnovers as San Diego State missed all four of its shots from the field and two of four free throws.

No. 1 Connecticut lost this week to No. 6 Stanford, then the Cardinal lost to No. 10 Texas, clearing the way for the Gamecocks to be the No. 1 team in the country for the first time ever.

No. 3 NOTRE DAME 104, HOLY CROSS 29

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Brianna Turner had 19 points and seven rebounds for Notre Dame, which used a 39-2 run in the second half to blow out Holy Cross.

Jewell Loyd added 17 points, six rebounds and five assists for Notre Dame (4-0), which opened up a double-digit lead less than four minutes in, pushing the tempo as high as possible. That advantage reached 20 points after a Loyd coast-to-coast drive and layup at the 7:40 mark, and was up to 30 by halftime.

Kate Gillespie came in averaging 15.7 points, but scored just six, one of three Crusaders with that total. Holy Cross (0-4) shot just 18.6 percent from the field (11 of 59) and was outrebounded 63-32.

No. 7 DUKE 83, MARQUETTE 51

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Rebecca Greenwell had 22 points with 12 rebounds and fellow freshman Azura Stevens added 18 and 10 to help Duke beat Marquette.

Greenwell and Stevens each have had two double-doubles in their first three college games. Elizabeth Williams and Oderah Chidom each added 12 for the Blue Devils (3-0).

Arlesia Morse paced Marquette (1-2) with 17 points while Kenisha Bell added 10.

Duke led 42-20 at halftime behind 12 points from Greenwell and 10 from Williams. Apiew Ojulu led Marquette with six at the break.

Duke trailed 8-4 in the opening minutes before breaking the game open with a 13-0 run that included seven points from Greenwell.

Marquette's closest approach in the second half was 52-40 on a Morse layup at 14:03.

Duke, which has won 133 straight home games against unranked opponents, leads the all-time series 5-0.

No. 10 TEXAS 75, UCLA 65

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Freshman guard Brooke McCarty scored 20 points off the bench and Texas dominated the boards to roll to a win over UCLA.

McCarty made 5 of 9 3-pointers to pace Texas' offense, and set highs in points, 3-pointers and field goals (7) in her young career.

Ariel Atkins added 14 points for the Longhorns, Kelsey Lang had 12 points and six rebounds and Nneka Enemkpali had 10 points and 12 rebounds for her 22nd career double double.

The Longhorns (3-0) outrebounded the Bruins 50-34, including 20 offensive boards that led to 20 second-chance points.

For UCLA (0-3), Nirra Fields had 19 points and eight rebounds and Kari Korver added 12 points. The Bruins had a higher shooting percentage and more blocks and assists.

No. 11 NORTH CAROLINA 76, OREGON 59

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Stephanie Mavunga scored 23 points and career-highs of 16 rebounds and 6 blocked shots and North Carolina overwhelmed Oregon in the second half.

The Ducks (1-1) had a nine-point lead in the first half and were up 29-28 at the break but Alisha Gray had six points as the Tar Heels (4-0) scored the first 12 points of the second half and never slowed down.

Gray finished with 18 points and Xylina McDaniel added 14 for the Tar Heels, who shot 56 percent in the second half.

Jillian Alleyne had 18 points and 17 rebounds and Lexi Bando added 14 points but Katelyn Loper, who had eight 3-pointers and 33 points in Oregon's opening win, was just 2 of 11, all from behind the arc. The Ducks shot 30 percent.

Mavunga had seven offensive rebounds and Alleyne had eight.

No. 12 LOUISVILLE 69, BALL STATE 56

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Mariya Moore had 22 points with 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range to lead Louisville past Ball State.

Moore, who also had five rebounds and five assists, sparked an 11-2 run with five straight points early in the second half that put Louisville (4-0) up 51-40. Her 22 points tied the career high she set in her collegiate debut against IUPUI on Nov. 14.

Louisville led 38-27 at halftime and closed the game out with a 15-6 run. Myisha Hines-Allen added 14 points and Jude Schimmel had six assists and five steals.

Ball State (1-2) was 18 of 32 from the field but had 34 turnovers and only two offensive rebounds.

Jill Morrison was 3 of 7 from 3-point range and finished with 20 points. Nathalie Fontaine added 11 points and nine rebounds, but also committed 12 turnovers.

No. 14 CALIFORNIA 82, MISSOURI 70

HONOLULU (AP) - Reshanda Gray scored 28 points and led four players in double figure scoring as California used a strong second half to defeat Missouri at the Rainbow Wahine Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The game was delayed when members of the Missouri team were stuck on a hotel elevator for close to 90 minutes.

California (4-0) trailed by two at the half, 38-36, but took control quickly in the second. Brittany Boyd, Courtney Range and Gray scored on a 6-0 run that gave California the lead, 42-40. The teams traded shots until Gray converted back-to-back three-point plays to make it 52-47 and the Golden Bears never trailed again.

Gray was 9 of 10 from the field and 10 of 14 from the line. Boyd had 16 points and Mikayla Cowling 15.

Sierra Michaelis scored 17 points off the bench to lead Missouri (3-1).

No. 15 MICHIGAN STATE 54, IUPUI 45

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Tori Jankoska scored 22 points and Aerial Powers added 17 and 13 rebounds, leading No. 15 Michigan State to a win over IUPUI.

The Spartans (2-1) used their physical advantage to get to the foul line, where they made 19 of 23. Jankoska was 11 of 13 and Powers, who has had a double-double in all three games this season, was 8 of 9. The duo also combined for 11 of MSU's 13 assists.

The Jaguars (1-2) were only 2 of 5 from the line and committed 21 turnovers. Shanika Maddox had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Michigan State used an early 13-2 run for a 20-6 lead and was up 31-19 at halftime. The Jaguars were within 48-40 on a Maddox layup with 7 minutes left but the Spartans clamped down and sealed the game with a 12-0 run for a 60-40 lead at 2:45.

No. 16 NEBRASKA 66, UTAH 43

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Emily Cady had 25 points with nine rebounds, Rachel Theriot added 20 points with six assists, and Nebraska rolled past Utah.

The Cornhuskers shot 42.2 percent from the field, committed just seven turnovers and had a 28-14 advantage in the paint. Theriot also had six rebounds and four of Nebraska's 11 steals.

Utah was limited to 27.5-percent shooting and gave up 24 points off turnovers. Malia Nawahine led the Utes with 14 points while Tanaeya Boclair and Paige Crozon each had nine.

The Cornhuskers pulled away early, opening the game on a 17-3 run sparked by two jumpers and a three-point play from Cady. A seven-point burst from Cady along with Natalie Romeo's 3-pointer made it 31-8 at the 5:03 mark in the first half.

Nebraska led 38-17 at half and coasted through the final 20 minutes.

No. 24 GEORGIA 64, GEORGIA TECH 57

ATLANTA (AP) - Shacobia Barbee scored a career-high 24 points and Krista Donald added 11 points and 12 rebounds to help Georgia beat Georgia Tech.

Kaela Davis finished with 20 points and Roddreka Rodgers had 13 points and eight rebounds for Georgia Tech (3-1).

With the Lady Bulldogs leading by four, Barbee stole the ball from Davis near Georgia Tech's baseline, and hit Merritt Hempe to make it a six-point lead with 35 seconds remaining.

Davis quickly hit a 3, but Georgia's Marjorie Butler closed the game out by hitting four free throws.

Mackenzie Engram scored 12 points and combined with Barbee and Butler for 20 rebounds. Georgia (4-0) out-rebounded the Jackets by 10.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 33-4 in the series and have won four straight against the Yellow Jackets.

No. 24 PURDUE 66, TOLEDO 48

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - April Wilson scored 12 points and dished five assists to help No. 24 Purdue roll to a victory over Toledo.

Hayden Hamby scored all of her 10 points in the first half to give Purdue (2-1) a 34-20 halftime lead. Ashley Morrissette had all of her 8 points and Andreona Keys scored to cap a 10-0 run to stretch the Boilermakers' lead to 53-31 with 11:16 to play. Keys finished with 10 points.

Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriot scored 13 points, Michaela Rasmussen and Inma Zanoguera each had 12 to lead Toledo (1-2). Zanoguera scored 4 points to cap a 10-0 run to give the Rockets their last lead, 17-16 at the 9:24 mark in the first half.

The Boilermakers bounced back after losing 81-78 in double overtime to visiting Green Bay on Nov. 19.
