Area woman killed in Sunday crash

A Macks Creek woman was killed and a Camdenton woman injured in a two-vehicle accident at 11:40 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 54 west of Country Club Drive in Camden County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Ford F150 driven westbound by Brooke M. Hunt, 23, Macks Creek, went out of control and crossed the center line. The vehicle was struck by a 2002 Dodge Ram, driven eastbound by Mandy R. Duncan, 21, Camdenton.

Hunt was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital.

Duncan refused medical attention at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

• The patrol reported at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Missouri 133 north of County Road 508 in Osage County, a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven northbound by Jessica L. Wheatley, 18, slid off the left side of the road, overcorrected and slid off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Wheatley was taken to St. Mary's Hospital.

She was wearing a seat belt.

• An Owensville man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:25 p.m. Sunday on Missouri 89 south of County Road 709 in Osage County.

According to the patrol report a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, driven northbound by Damien C. Nowack, 20, slid off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Nowack was taken to Capital Region Medical Center.

He was wearing a seat belt.

• A Rocky Mount man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:40 p.m. Sunday on Elm Tree Road in Miller County.

The patrol reported a 1998 Chevrolet pickup, driven southbound by Joshua D. Bickell, 26, ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Bickell was taken to Lake Regional Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt.

• A Belle woman was injured in a one-car accident at 7:35 a.m. Monday on Missouri 89 south of County Road 721 in Osage County.

The patrol reported a 2007 Pontiac, driven northbound by Jennifer L. Wehmeyer, 31, crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Wehmeyer was life flighted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. She was not wearing a seat belt.
