LOS ANGELES (AP) - Jarret Stoll scored his first goal of the season 2:19 into overtime, and the Los Angeles Kings rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday in the Freeway Faceoff.
Stoll tapped a slow-sliding puck under Frederik Andersen in the waning seconds of a power play for the defending Stanley Cup champions, who came back from a late deficit in the Southern California clubs' second entertaining meeting in four days.
Tyler Toffoli scored a short-handed goal, Jonathan Quick made 27 saves and Anze Kopitar scored the tying power-play goal midway through the third period for the Kings, who won for just the third time in 10 games.
Emerson Etem and Ryan Kesler scored for the Ducks, who beat Los Angeles 6-5 on Wednesday.
Anaheim has earned points in seven straight games, but its five-game regular-season winning streak against Los Angeles ended.
PENGUINS 3, RANGERS 2, SO
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Brandon Sutter scored in the fourth round of the shootout, after the Rangers thought they had won it, and Pittsburgh escaped with a victory over New York.
Dan Boyle appeared to win it for the Rangers in the third round, but his goal was then disallowed after a video review showed he hit the puck a second time on a rebound.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped Rick Nash to end the game for good.
Sidney Crosby failed to record a point in his fifth straight game against New York, but scored in the shootout. Derek Stepan had the lone shootout goal for the Rangers.
Evgeni Malkin scored his seventh goal, and Blake Comeau added his fourth in regulation for Pittsburgh, which has won nine of 10. Fleury stopped 29 shots to defeat the Rangers for the first time in five games.
Martin St. Louis and Lee Stempniak had goals for New York. Lundqvist made 36 saves, but couldn't earn his fifth straight win against the Penguins.
WILD 2, STARS 1
DALLAS (AP) - Mikael Granlund scored 40 seconds into the third period, and Minnesota held on for the win.
Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped Charlie Coyle's shot from the top of the right circle, but Granlund beat the goalie to the puck for the rebound.
Minnesota's Darcy Kuemper allowed only a second-period goal by Antoine Roussel and finished with 27 saves.
The Wild tied it at 1 on Erik Haula's goal at 15:41 of the second.
Minnesota won its second straight game after a four-game losing streak.
Lehtonen had 20 saves.
BRUINS 2, HURRICANES 1
BOSTON (AP) - Seth Griffith and Patrice Bergeron scored in the first, Tuukka Rask stopped 33 shots and Boston rebounded from a pair of embarrassing losses.
The Bruins had lost their past two games by a combined 11-2 on the road at Toronto and Montreal.
Jiri Tlusty scored for the Hurricanes, who lost their second straight after earning points in six consecutive games.
Cam Ward made 23 saves for Carolina.
LIGHTNING 5, ISLANDERS 2
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Cedric Paquette scored a tiebreaking goal late in the first period, and Tampa Bay snapped the New York Islanders' five-game winning streak.
Ryan Callahan, Valtteri Filppula, Tyler Johnson and Radko Gudas also scored for the Lightning, 7-1-1 over their last nine games. Jason Garrison had two assists, and Ben Bishop improved to 10-2-2.
The Islanders got goals from Brock Nelson and Josh Bailey. New York, looking to tie its longest winning streak since February 2008, had allowed just six goals during their five-game run.
Paquette, inserted into the lineup in place of 2013 No. 3 pick Jonathan Drouin, put the Lightning ahead 3-2 from the slot with his fifth goal this season at 15:29.
Callahan and Filppula also scored first-period goals.
AVALANCHE 3, DEVILS 2
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Matt Duchene's tiebreaking goal in the third period powered Colorado over New Jersey.
Duchene tapped a loose puck past Cory Schneider for the winning goal.
John Mitchell and Erik Johnson also scored for Colorado, which went 2-1 against the three New York area teams. The Avalanche are 3-5-3 on the road and 6-8-5 overall.
Semyon Varlamov stopped 23 shots.
Eric Gelinas and Martin Havlat scored for the Devils, who had a two game-winning streak ended. Schneider, who made 27 saves, has started all 18 games for the Devils this season. That is the second-longest streak in franchise history to open a season.
BLUE JACKETS 2, SHARKS 1
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - David Savard and Cam Atkinson scored, and Sergei Bobrovsky had 36 saves in his return from the injured list to lead Columbus over San Jose.
Bobrovsky missed the previous eight games due to a broken finger in his left hand.
Joe Pavelski had the goal for the Sharks, and Antti Niemi stopped 26 shots.
The Sharks, down a goal, had a prime chance to tie it. Columbus forward Alexander Wennberg went off for a double-minor for high-sticking Scott Hannah with 5 minutes left in regulation. The Sharks pulled Niemi with 20 seconds left in the penalty for an extra attacker, but Bobrovsky and the defense killed the penalty.
SABRES 6, MAPLE LEAFS 2
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Zemgus Girgensons scored two goals, and Buffalo snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over Toronto.
Tyler Ennis scored a goal and added two assists for the Sabres, who also got goals from Drew Stafford, Tyler Myers and Matt Moulson.
David Clarkson and Phil Kessel scored for Toronto, which lost Friday to Pittsburgh.
Buffalo had allowed six goals in each of its last three games, all losses, before setting a season-high by scoring six against Toronto. The Maple Leafs hadn't allowed six goals in a game this season.
Michal Neuvirth was sharp in the first period for the Sabres and finished with 32 saves.
Toronto's James Reimer stopped 29 shots.
PREDATORS 2, JETS 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Craig Smith scored with 2:02 remaining to carry Nashville over Winnipeg.
James Neal also scored for Nashville, winners of four of five. Pekka Rinne finished with 21 saves.
Blake Wheeler had the lone goal for the Jets, who have lost two of three.
With time winding down in the third, Calle Jarnkrok found Smith at the bottom of the left circle, and he scored his sixth of the season.
Wheeler scored the game's first goal at 6:57 of the second period. Wheeler, who leads the team with eight goals, has scored three in two games.
Ondrej Pavelec made 27 saves for Winnipeg.
CANADIENS 6, FLYERS 3
MONTREAL (AP) - Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau and Dale Weise both scored twice and Sergei Gonchar had two assists to reach 800 career points as Montreal beat Philadelphia for its fifth straight victory.
David Desharnais and P.K. Subban also scored for Atlantic Division-leading Montreal.
Brayden Schenn had two goals, and Matt Read also scored for the Flyers. Jakub Voracek had two assists to extend his point streak to 10 games.
The Canadiens' power play had dropped to 7.1 percent efficiency before a trade this week for the 40-year-old Gonchar.
Parenteau's second goal, at 1:02 of the third period, put the Canadiens ahead 4-2. After Read's power-play goal pulled the Flyers within one again, Weise scored twice in less than 4 minutes to seal the win.
BLUES 4, CAPITALS 1
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Jori Lehtera, Jaden Schwartz, David Backes and Patrik Berglund scored, and Brian Elliott made 23 saves to lift St. Louis to its third consecutive win.
The Blues (12-4-1), who entered leading the NHL in goals-against average at 1.9, game), have won 10 of 11.
Washington (7-7-3), playing its first game of a three-game trip, lost for the second straight night after falling 1-0 at home against New Jersey on Friday.
FLAMES 4, SENATORS 2
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Rookie Josh Jooris had a goal and an assist, and Calgary beat Ottawa.
Calgary took a 2-1 lead 2:29 into the third period when Markus Granlund scored his third goal off a setup from Lance Bouma. Jooris scored the eventual winner at 5:37 during a power play.
Paul Byron and Lance Bouma also scored for Calgary, which has won six of eight, including the first two of a five-game homestand.
Clarke MacArthur, with his team-leading eighth goal, and Bobby Ryan scored for the Senators, who went 1-1-1 on a three-game Western Canada road trip.
