A junior at Jefferson City High School has been suspended after being caught Thursday morning with a controlled substance on school grounds.
Police and school reports show it happened just after 10 a.m. The reports do not say what the substance was.
School officials said the male student was taken to the Prenger Family Center.
The student faces 10 days of suspension and possible further action from the superintendent's office.
