Blues trade Leopold to CBJ; Tyutin injured

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The St. Louis Blues have traded defenseman Jordan Leopold to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft.

The Blue Jackets made the deal after defenseman Fedor Tyutin was lost for at least a month to a sprained left knee. He was injured in a 4-3 win at Philadelphia on Friday night.

The 34-year-old Leopold has played 12 years in the NHL for Calgary, Colorado, Florida, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and St. Louis. He was expected to be available for Saturday night's game against San Jose.

The injury-ravaged Blue Jackets placed Tyutin and left wing Matt Calvert (upper body) on injured reserve. Center Artem Anisimov was activated from the injured list.

The Blues recalled defenseman Chris Butler from the Chicago Wolves.
