DAVIS, Calif. (AP) - Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored 30 points, making a career-high 10 3-pointers, and No. 1 Connecticut cruised to its 47th straight win with a 102-43 rout of UC Davis in the season opener for both teams Friday night.

Breanna Stewart added 15 points, a career-best seven assists and six rebounds for the hot-shooting Huskies, and the two-time defending NCAA champions went on a 39-0 run spanning 15 minutes, 43 seconds from midway through the first half to Rachel Nagel's 3 at the 13:16 mark of the second for UC Davis. It is believed to be among the biggest runs in UConn program history.

Mosqueda-Lewis matched Maya Moore's record for most 3-pointers, which Moore did on Jan. 17, 2009, against Syracuse in Hartford. The Huskies' 18 total 3s tied the school record set in that same game.

Mosqueda-Lewis sat out the final 11:31 on Friday.

No. 3 NOTRE DAME 105, UMASS LOWELL 51

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Freshman Brianna Turner made an impressive college debut, scoring 29 points to lead Notre Dame to a win over UMass Lowell.

The 6-foot-3 forward from Pearland, Texas grabbed nine rebounds and scored 22 points over the game's first 13 minutes. Her fastbreak layup with 6:48 to go in the first half stretched the Irish lead to 43-13.

Turner set a school record in the Muffet McGraw era for freshman debuts, easily topping the previous mark of 18 points.

Notre Dame led 61-24 at the half and things were no better for the River Hawks in the second half. Junior guard Jewell Loyd's fastbreak layup with 15:15 left to play capped at a 16-4 run to start the half before UMass Lowell coach Jenerrie Harris called a timeout with the score 77-28.

Loyd followed Turner in scoring, adding 20 points for Notre Dame.

No. 4 TENNESSEE 97, PENN 52.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nia Moore had 24 points and 14 rebounds to set career highs in both categories for Tennessee as the short-handed Lady Volunteers opened the season beating Penn.

Tennessee center Isabelle Harrison appeared to hurt her right leg while battling for a loose ball with 3:26 remaining. Harrison, a first-team all-Southeastern Conference selection last season, was down on the floor for several minutes before getting helped to the locker room.

The Lady Vols had only eight available players because coach Holly Warlick handed down one-game suspensions to guards Ariel Massengale and Andraya Carter and two-game suspensions to Jannah Tucker and Cierra Burdick last week. Massengale was suspended for missing one class and Tucker was punished for missing two classes. The penalties for Carter and Burdick were due to missing curfew.

The Lady Vols still had more than enough firepower to beat Penn.

No. 5 TEXAS A&M 76, DEPAUL 68

CHICAGO (AP) - Courtney Walker scored 26 points to lead No. 5 Texas A&M to a victory over No. 18 DePaul in the season opener for both teams.

The Aggies (1-0) secured the win closing the game on a 10-2 run, including going 8-for-8 from the free throw line.

Jordan Jones and Khaalia Hillsman each added 10 points for Texas A&M, which beat DePaul 84-65 in last season's Sweet 16.

Jessica January scored 24 points to lead DePaul (0-1). Brittany Hrynko had 19 and Megan Rogowski added 10.

Texas A&M opened its biggest lead at 56-47 after Walker's 3 pointer with 10:45 showing. But DePaul stormed back and by the 6:19 mark had tied the game at 60 on Hrynko's two free throws.

The teams traded points until it was 66-66 all with 2:45 left on Chanise Jenkins' layup. Then the Aggies took over.

No. 6 STANFORD 96, BOSTON COLLEGE 63

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Lili Thompson scored a career-high 26 points and No. 6 Stanford won its 14th consecutive season-opener, beating Boston College.

Erica McCall added a career-high 16 points for the Cardinal, Amber Orrange added 11 points, six assists and matched her career-high with nine rebounds.

Emilee Dailey matched her career-high with 13 points to lead the Eagles, who were looking to beat their first top 10 opponent in nearly five years. Nicole Boudreau, starting her 63rd consecutive game, added 11 points, including making all three of her 3-point shots, and freshman Ashley Kelsick had 10.

Stanford outscored the Eagles 27-8 through the first 10 minutes of the second half, with Thompson and McCall combining for 15 points, to take a commanding lead. The Cardinal led by as many as 30.

No. 8 BAYLOR 101, ORAL ROBERTS 60

WACO, Texas (AP) -Nina Davis had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Khadijiah Cave scored 19 and No. 8 Baylor rolled to a lopsided victory against Oral Roberts in the season opener for both teams.

The Lady Bears, playing without either Brittney Griner or Odyssey Sims for the first time in more than five years, took a 12-0 lead and were up by double digits for good with 14 minutes left in the first half.

Imani Wright had three of Baylor's four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points, while freshman Kristy Wallace from Australia debuted with 11 points and three steals.

Vicky McIntyre had 10 points and 17 rebounds for Oral Roberts, and Jordan Doyle scored 14.

No. 10 MARYLAND 109, MOUNT ST. MARY'S 45

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Freshman Kiara Leslie scored 16 points in her debut as Maryland defeated Mount St. Mary's in the opener for both teams.

Tierney Pfirman added 14 of her 16 points before halftime for the Terps, who had seven players in double figures and surpassed 100 points in an opener for the first time since 2005.

Jacqueline Brewer scored 12 points for Mount St. Mary's, which fell to 0-6 against Maryland.

The Mountaineers, who lost four starters from the team that reached the school's first-ever WNIT last season, were held to 29 percent (15 of 51) percent shooting and forced into 29 turnovers.

No. 11 KENTUCKY 111, APPALACHIAN STATE 74

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Jennifer O'Neill scored 21 points and six other players reached double figures to lead No. 11 Kentucky in A victory over Appalachian State in the season opener for both teams.

Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, who returned to action after sitting out last season with a pulmonary embolism, opened it with two straight 3-pointers just 48 seconds in to spark a 20-4 run and No. 11 Kentucky never trailed. Goodin-Rogers scored nine of her 11 points in the first half, and O'Neill chipped in another six points as the Wildcats built a 58-42 halftime lead.

O'Neill finished 6 of 12 from the field and hit three 3-pointers and grabbed eight rebounds.

Maryah Sydnor scored 33 points on 12-of-23 shooting and had seven rebounds while Katie Mallow added 13 points to lead Appalachian State.

Kentucky has won six straight home openers. It was the first matchup between the schools.

No. 12 LOUISVILLE 89, IUPUI 69.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Mariya Moore scored 22 points in her collegiate debut and No. 12 Louisville beat IUPUI.

Bria Smith added 15 points and another true freshman, Myisha Hines-Allen, scored 11 for the Cardinals, who reached the Elite Eight last season before joining the ACC. Sara Hammond grabbed 10 rebounds.

IUPUI, which won a school-record 23 games last season, was led Shaquira Scott with 16 points. Akilah Sims added 12, Mikale Rogers 11 and Martha Burse 10. The Jaguars were hurt by 26 turnovers.

Louisville built a 41-20 halftime lead behind Moore's 16 points. The Cardinals made nine of their 16 steals and scored 21 points off turnovers in the first half.

The Cardinals extended their lead to 30 with 12:37 left. The Jaguars got as close as 15 with 6:02 remaining.

No. 13 NORTH CAROLINA 83, HOWARD 49

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -Allisha Gray scored 19 points to help No. 13 North Carolina beat Howard, giving Hall of Fame coach Sylvia Hatchell a successful return to the bench after missing last year while battling leukemia.

Xylina McDaniel added 16 points for the Tar Heels, who overcame a slow start with a 21-0 run to blow the game open late in the first half. UNC shot 44 percent and scored 30 points off turnovers against the Lady Bison

Cheyenne Brown had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Howard, which shot 34 percent but hung tough on the boards.

Hatchell, whose 936 career wins are second to Tennessee's Pat Summitt all-time, coached the team's two exhibition games. But this was her first appearance on the sideline for a game that counted since a loss at Delaware in the second round of the 2013 NCAA tournament.

No. 19 IOWA 107, USC UPSTATE 56

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Ally Disterhoft scored 19 points, Bethany Doolittle added 15 more plus grabbed 10 rebounds, and No. 19 Iowa powered past USC Upstate.

Disterhoft was 7 of 8 from the field and 4-for-5 from the penalty stripe. Melissa Dixon had 16 points, Samantha Logic had 11 and Alexa Kastanek 10 for Iowa, which set a record with the winning score. The Hawkeyes outrebounded USC Upstate 49-32 and was 11-for-22 from 3-point range.

Iowa took control early in the first half with a 35-7 run that included 3-pointers from Logic, Disterhoft and two from Dixon, and took a 59-22 advantage into the half. The Hawkeyes then continued to pull away in the second half.

Coco Ritter led the Spartans with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting and had four rebounds. Brittany Starling added nine points.

No. 20 OREGON STATE 87, PORTLAND 65

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Ruth Hamblin scored 20 points and Ali Gibson added 16 as No. 20 Oregon State, ranked for the first time since 1996 and the first-time ever in the preseason poll, rolled past Portland.

The Beavers shot 68 percent in rolling to a 52-32 lead at the half. The lead reached 33 with 13:19 to play.

Deven Hunter and Jamie Weisner both had 11 points and Gabriella Hanson came off the bench to add 10.

Cassandra Brown led the Pilots with 18 points and Kari Luttinen added 12 and Sara Zaragoza 10.

The Beavers made 9 of 20 3-pointers and had a 50-24 advantage on points in the paint as Hamblin blocked five shots.

OSU scored the first nine points and led 36-12 on a jumper by Marie Gulich midway through the half.

No. 21 OKLAHOMA STATE 76, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT 65

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State's Brittney Martin had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Cowgirls to a win over Loyola Marymount.

Martin had six assists and five steals, while Liz Donohoe added 20 points in the first meeting between the schools.

Deanna Johnson led Loyola Marymount with 22 points.

The Lions shot 48 percent in the first half, but OSU scored the last five points of the period for 37-27 advantage at the break.

WASHINGTON STATE 76, No. 22 DAYTON 60

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Lia Galdeira scored 21 points, Tia Presley had 19 and Washington State forced 30 turnovers to open the season with a win over No. 22 Dayton.

The Cougars turned those 30 turnovers into 28 points in a game that was otherwise evenly matched.

Presley, who had 13 points at the half, scored five points in a 13-0 run that the Cougars used to break away from a 10-10 tie. Pinelopi Pavlopoulou followed with a 3, Ivana Kmetovska added a layup and Taylor Edmondson capped it with a 3.

Galdeira then made two free throws and back-to-back 3-pointers as the Cougars closed the first half with a 10-0 surge for a 40-25 lead.

The Flyers, who shot 31 percent, never challenged in the second half.

Andrea Hoover led Dayton with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

JAMES MADISON 91, No. 23 UCLA 87, OT

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - James Madison's Precious Hall scored 25 points and finished perfect from the free-throw line to lead the Dukes to an upset of UCLA.

The Bruins led 75-73 with 8 second left in regulation before Hall made two free throws to send it into overtime. She made two more free throws with 6 seconds left to extend the lead to 91-87.

Hall finished 12 of 12 from the line.

Lauren Okafor had a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds for James Madison, which overcame a 14-point second-half deficit. Toia Giggetts also added 16 points.

Nirra Fields led UCLA with 26 points, while Jordin Canada had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Lajahna Drummer finished with 15 points.

NO. 24 RUTGERS 76, SAINT JOSEPH'S 56

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Tyler Scaife had 23 points, Betnijah Laney added 10 points and 13 rebounds and three steals, and the No. 24 Rutgers women beat Saint Joseph's in the season opener for both teams.

Scaife was 9 of 13 from the field and made three straight jumpers and a layup during a 12-2 run that put the Scarlet Knights up 42-29 early in the second half.

Kahleah Copper's back-to-back baskets made it 51-35 with 8:57 left and Rutgers led by no less than 14 from there.

Briyona Canty had 16 points and eight assists, Copper scored 14 and Rachel Hollivay added five blocked shots.
