10 years in prison for home invasion

A Jefferson City man charged in connection with a home invasion in 2013 was given a 10 year prison sentence.

Danny Galbreath, 27, of 300 W. Ashley St., pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.

Authorities said the incident occurred at 5209 Collier Court when Galbreath and two others forced their way into an apartment. They were armed with a handgun and a hammer, and forced residents to lie on the floor.

Galbreath and the others left the apartment, taking with them cash and several electronic devices.

They fled in a vehicle and eventually were caught after crashing at Route C and Hemstreet Road.
