COLUMBIA (AP) - Missouri basketball has signed two in-state players to national letters of intent.
Coach Kim Anderson said in a statement Wednesday that Kevin Puryear and Cullen VanLeer were among the top players in the state.
Puryear, a 6-foot-7 forward from Blue Springs South High, averaged 19.2 points and 8.6 rebounds his junior season. VanLeer, a 6-foot-4 guard from Pacific, averaged 21.9 points.
Both players were named first team all-state by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association last season.
Missouri announced the moves on the first day of the early signing period.
