ST. LOUIS (AP) - The winner of a $202.6 million Powerball jackpot drawn Saturday has yet to come forward, Missouri Lottery officials said Monday, noting that the ticket was sold at a downtown St. Louis newsstand.
The winner has until May 7 to claim the jackpot at lottery headquarters in Jefferson City, choosing to take a lump sum - roughly $126.5 million before taxes - or 30 annual payments. The winning ticket was sold at Gateway Newstand in Union Station.
"We are ready to give this check away," May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery, said as she clutched a reproduction of the nine-figure prize check during a news conference at the store.
The store's owner will receive $50,000 for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers were: 9, 19, 33, 38 and 54, with a Powerball number of 15.
Reardon said Missouri has sold 30 Powerball-winning tickets, second only to Indiana among the 44 states that participate in the national lottery game.
