Columbia College's Rockers wins MVP

COLUMBIA - Zach Rockers won Most Valuable Player honors at the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic while helping Columbia College to a pair of easy wins.

On Friday, the Cougars steamrolled their way to a 100-36 win against Concordia Seminary.

Rockers (Helias High School) racked up six points and a game-high eight rebounds, and he also had two steals and one assist.

On Saturday, Columbia College downed Graceland University 91-65.

Rockers had a team-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including a 3-of-6 effort from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.

The Cougars, who are ranked No. 7 in the NAIA poll, are now 3-0. They are off until Nov. 18 when they play at Central Methodist.
