The following are more frightening examples of attacks on Christianity and our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms that should alarm everyone.
An article by Donna Rachel Edmunds dated Nov. 2 is headlined "Faith Schools Could Face Closure If They Don't Promote Gay Rights." Quoting the article: "British faith schools are to be forced to teach equality and respect for gay rights or face closure, in a move backed by Education Secretary Nicky Morgan. The orders come following 40 snap inspections of faith schools, including Christian and Jewish schools, in the wake of the Trojan Horse plot in Birmingham in which radical Islamists were found to have infiltrated between four and eight schools to promote hard-line Salafist Islam." An article by Todd Starnes dated Oct. 14 is headlined "Houston City Government Demands Pastors Turn Over Sermons Referencing Homosexuality, Mayor." Quoting the article: "The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city's first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court." Of course the Houston mayor has, after a public outcry, since reversed her order. I reference an article by Todd Starnes dated Oct. 29 headlined "Houston mayor drops bid to subpoena pastors' sermons." Quoting the article "Subpoenas issued to five Houston pastors demanding all sermons and correspondence dealing with homosexuality, gender identity and the city's Equal Rights ordinance have been withdrawn, the city's first openly lesbian mayor announced at a Wednesday press conference." Both examples represent the continuing efforts by the politically correct Democrat supported liberal left to advance their efforts under the guise of diversity and fairness to eliminate Christian morality from schools and public discourse. Actions such as these are cancers destructive to a civilized society and must be stopped for America's sake.
