COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Columbia College Cougars shut out Lindenwood University-Belleville on Friday night in the first round of the American Midwest Conference tournament.
Jordan Poire (Helias High School) scored the third goal of the game for the Cougars. Tiffany Weaver (Helias High School) had an assist on a goal by Mercedes Kercado.
Before the game, Taylor Hagenhoff (Helias High School) was named one of eight Cougar players on the 2014 AMC All-Academic team.
Columbia College faces William Woods on Monday in the second round of the tournament.
