Search continues for library director

Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) has received several applications for the library's director position previously held by Helen Rigdon, the MRRL board was told Tuesday.

Abbey Rimel, president of MRRL's Board of Trustees and chairman of the director search committee, said the position will remain open for applicants until May 30.

"June 4, the committee will reconvene and review further applicants," Rimel said.

Rigdon resigned from her post in February and left the library in late March for a position with the Wichita Public Library in Kansas.

The board also voted Tuesday to move forward with Clark Enersen Partners and have them draw up a contract and put out bids for the design phase of air handler and electrical upgrades to the facility. Clark Enersen Partners' design phase will cost no more than $42,550, which doesn't include the work that will be bid out.
