Henley man receives probation in domestic assault case

A Henley man was placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree domestic assault from March 2013.

Court documents show Bradley Luebbering, 40, had one count of forcible rape, two counts of forcible sodomy and one count of third-degree domestic assault dismissed against him.

A Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement shows the incident was reported in the 12400 block of Sommerer Road.

The woman told investigators that Luebbering forced her into a bathroom. She said he covered her mouth while also choking her in an effort to keep young children in the home from hearing her scream.

Investigators noted she did have marks and bruising around her neck and abrasions inside her mouth.

The woman was found to have numerous marks and bruising on both arms, upper back, hips, legs and feet that would be consistent with what she told investigators.

Deputies later found numerous bloodied wipes and other paper products in the trash can of the bathroom where the attack occurred. Several blood droplets were found throughout the bathroom in the sink, the inside door frame and on the floor.
