Helias tennis advances

CAMDENTON — The fifth-seeded Helias Crusaders claimed a 5-2 win Tuesday against fourth-seeded Camdenton in the first round of the Class 2 District 9 Tennis Tournament.

In singles, Ethan Lesko lost (4-6, 1-6); Caleb Seidel won (6-2, 6-3); Kirk Twehous lost (1-6); Jeremy Wolters won (7-6, 6-3); T.J. Hagenhoff won (6-2, 6-1); and Ryan Pollock won (2-6, 6-3, 6-4).

In doubles, the No. 3 team of Pollock and Hagenhoff claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win to send the Crusaders to the victory.

Helias (6-5) will play at 4 p.m. today at top-seeded Rock Bridge (14-1).
