LINN CREEK - Devin Koestner of Russellville led area finishers Monday in the Class 1 sectional at The Golf Club at Deer Chase.
Koestner tied for 21st with a 93. Two other Russellville golfers participated as well. Coy Bond tied for 30th with a 100, while Cody Willingham was 49th with a 129.
Jake Butts led three Linn players at the sectional, shooting a 94 to finish 24th. Brenden Bischoff tied for 33rd with a 103, while Cade Pinkerton tied for 40th with a 107.
Barat Academy (327) and Thayer (328) claimed the two team spots for the state tournament to be played next week at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield. Spender Ary of Thayer was the medalist Monday with a 74.
