HUMANSVILLE, Mo. - Allie Heckemeyer won three events and finished second in another Saturday to lead the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets to the Class 1 District 4 Track and Field team title.
Heckemeyer was first in the 400-meter dash as well and the long and triple jumps. She was second in the 800-meter run.
St. Elizabeth finished with 118 points to top the 15-team field. New Covenant Academy was second with 85.
St. Elizabeth won two other girls events. Kayla Struemph was first in the pole vault, while the 4x200-meter relay team also finished first.
On the boys side, St. Elizabeth finished seventh with 44 points. School of the Ozarks was first with 163.
The Hornets were second in two events - Wyatt Stiles in the pole vault and the 4x200-meter relay.
The top four finishers in each event advance to this Saturday's sectional.
