ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Chamois Pirates were second while the Lady Pirates took third Saturday at the Class 1 District 1 Track and Field championships.
The Pirates finished with 95 points in a 15-team field. Viburnum was first with 118 points.
Chris Binggeli was a district champion in the shot put for Chamois.
Chamois finished with 76 team points on the girls side. New Haven was first with 150, while McKinley Classical Leaders was second with 77.
The Lady Pirates won three events - Autumn Baker in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and Alison Mehmert in the high jump.
The Calvary Lutheran Lions and Lady Lions both finished ninth with 26 team points.
Kara Wehmeyer was first for the Lady Lions in the shot put.
The top four finishers in each event advance to next Saturday's sectional.
