Holts Summit man gets five years

A Holts Summit man was sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in a robbery in the 1200 block of East Capitol Avenue in July 2013.

Damien Rotter, 18, was given credit for time served.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery. He had been charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Court documents showed the Jefferson City Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant after an investigation suggested methamphetamine was being used and sold at the residence.

Later, the city code enforcement inspected and condemned the house.

According to police reports, three victims arrived at the location to collect $20 owed to them, where Rotter and others robbed them at gunpoint.
