Russellville 7, Linn 5

RUSSELLVILLE - Ryland Johnson was 3-for-4 and scored three runs as the Russellville Indians held off the Linn Wildcats 7-5 Wednesday.

Johnson also received the win on mound, allowing four earned runs on eight hits while striking out three in seven innings.

Chase Smith was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Nick Haslag added an RBI double and Tanner Morrow had one hit and an RBI to lead Russellville at the plate.

Alec Shoop had two hits, including a three-run home run, and drove in four runs, while Ben Klebba added three hits and one RBI to lead Linn. Ryan Mantle and Cameron Laughlin both added hits to help pace the Wildcats.

Russellville (10-12) will host Eugene today, while Linn (15-4) will host Owensville on Friday.

In the JV game, Russellville was a 10-12 winner.
