Missouri to meet Oklahoma

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced matchups Wednesday for the 2014 SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Missouri will travel Dec. 5 to Norman, Okla., to face the Oklahoma Sooners for the 210th time in the series history.

The Tigers, who will enter their first season under the direction of head coach Kim Anderson, are 1-0 all-time in the Challenge series with the Big 12, earning an 80-71 win against West Virginia last season at Mizzou Arena. Missouri is also 4-1 all-time in Challenge games dating back to the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series from 2007-2010.

The Tigers have won three consecutive games against the Sooners, including a 71-68 victory at the Lloyd Noble Center on Feb. 6, 2012. Missouri and Oklahoma last met as non-conference opponents in basketball in 1916. The Tiger claimed a 50-20 victory on Feb. 16, before falling to the Sooners 29-28 a day later.
