EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Jill Rackers drove in the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to help the Southern Illinois Cougars finish off a sweep of Eastern Illinois on Sunday.
Rackers (Helias High School) went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in the game to help the Cougars improve to 27-21 overall and 19-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Rackers, a senior batting .295 while playing left field, and the Cougars will head to Jacksonville, Ala., as the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament this week.
