The National Weather Service predicts a high of 76 for Friday and a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms for Fayetteville.

"This is our favorite show," said Mary Shoemake of Patton, Missouri, who with her husband, Rich, brought their 1973 Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro to the car show for the fifth year in a row.

"It's the whole setting," Rich Shoemake said. "There are cars all up and down the strip. You could park them all in a parking lot somewhere, but this is so much better."

The Magic Dragon Street Meet featured cars of various makes, models and years, which could be entered in 23 different categories, plus the grand champion's Best of Show, awarded to the vehicle with the highest overall score across all categories. Four motorcycle categories were also open to competitors.

The event, which began Friday afternoon and wraps up this afternoon, also included the Aces High Poker Run, a Kids' Zone for young attendees' entertainment and the Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary's car giveaway. The show opens at 8 a.m. this morning with judging from 9 to 11 a.m., and awards will be presented at 1 p.m.
