ST. LOUIS - Incarnate Word Academy scored with less than three minutes remaining Friday to take a 3-2 victory against the Helias Lady Crusaders.
Helias took the lead about 10 minutes into the contest on a goal by Kaysie Scheuler. After Incarnate Word tied it, Becky Robert's goal with 16 minutes left in the half gave Helias a 2-1 lead at intermission.
But Incarnate Word tied it five minutes into the second half before the Red Knights (5-7-1, ranked No. 4 in Class 2) got the late game-winner.
Helias (11-7-1, ranked o. 7 in Class 2) will return to action Monday at Warrensburg.
