Southern Boone tops Russellville

Hit three home runs in victory

RUSSELLVILLE - Southern Boone used the long ball to beat Russellville 6-3 on Friday.

The Eagles got solo home runs from John Troth, Alex Anderson and Dawson Cunningham in the win. Anderson added two more hits for the winners.

Tanner Morrow had two hits and two RBI to pace Russellville.

Sam Bowles was the wining pitcher, giving up two earned runs in four innings of work. He struck out seven and allowed four hits.

Kaleb Libbert took the loss, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits while striking out one in three innings.

Russellville (7-11) will host a doubleheader with Eldon starting at 10 a.m. today.

Southern Boone won Friday's JV game 3-2.
