FESTUS - The Jefferson City Lady Jays took second in the Festus Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, while the Jays came in seventh on the boys event.
Each team had one winner, as Kezia Martin won the girls long jump and Mervyn John won the boys 300-meter hurdles.
East St. Louis won the girls portion of the meet with 67 points, topping Jefferson City by 10. On the boys side, Festus took home the crown with 97 points, while Hazelwood Central was second with 81. The Jays finished with 36.
