Missouri beats Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. - Fifth-year senior Eric Anderson had three hits, including a two-run double in the eighth inning, to give Missouri the lead and the Tigers held on to clinch their series against No. 20 Auburn with a 4-2 win Friday night.

The series win for Missouri is its first against a ranked opponent since the Tigers topped No. 25 Texas on May 7, 2012.

Keaton Steele tallied his league-leading seventh save and Breckin Williams earned his first win of the season for Missouri, which improved to 13-12 overall and 3-5 in the Southeastern Conference.

John Miles allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks, while striking out three in 51/3 innings as the Tigers' starting pitcher.

Kendall Keeton and Josh Lester both drove in a run to help lead Missouri at the plate.

Brett Graves, Missouri's ace, will be on the mound today as the Tigers will go for the sweep against Auburn (18-10 4-4 SEC). The game is slated for a noon start.
