JC man accused of lottery ticket theft

A Jefferson City man was charged with stealing $1,500 worth of lottery tickets while working at a local convenience store.

Jerome Howard, 23, is charged with scratching off the tickets and then throwing them in the trash while working at Beeline on Missouri Boulevard in February.

Authorities said Howard was seen on store security cameras doing this.

Howard admitted to taking the tickets when questioned by authorities.
