Your Opinion: Ominous signs of future problems

Dear Editor:

I was frankly offended when President Obama accused Vladimir Putin of breaking international law by invading the Ukraine with military force without a declaration of war.

Putin won approval from the Russian parliament to protect ethnic Russians in the Ukraine.

Unlike Obama who makes his own set of rules by using his phone and pen like a political football and doing an end run around Congress and the U.S. Constitution.

It's okay to tag a sovereign country as a terrorist state if you disagree with their politics and without a declaration of war send an army of occupation to kill your opponent with unmanned drones.

Both Obama and Putin are two birds of a feather; it's like the pot calling the skillet black. Both would steal a canvas on a corpse.

Obama is not a Chicago political activist anymore, nor a wartime president. Putin is a former head of the KGB and a warrior experienced with conflict and the cold war.

Obama needs to remember the old adage, "Say the truth it is easier to memorize."

Nevertheless, Obama scrubbed the Bush administration's planned construction of a missile defense system in Poland in 2009 to pacify the Russians. In 2010 Obama signed a nuclear weapons reduction treaty with the Russians. Afterwards Putin refused to honor the treaty. Obama plans to eliminate America's only anti-ballistic missile system which protects our home land from a long-range guided nuclear missile attack, including budget cuts and downsizing America's armed forces to pre-World War II levels.

I'll talk straight to you, stay the course. We don't have to stand tall but we do have to stand up. A sign of a good fighter in the ring is how fast it takes for a fighter to stand up.

You can't run from it forever. This is desperate times and America has lost faith in itself.

Politicians too long in office makes them stale and there is only one rule left, survive.

Someday it will all be clear. The events unraveling now are the precursor of something diabolical.
