Time set for Missouri's NIT game
Thursday, March 20, 2014
Missouri will host Southern Mississippi in an NIT second-round game Sunday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.
Game time between the Tigers (23-11) and the Golden Eagles (28-6) is 4 p.m. (ESPU-TV). It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
Missouri is the No. 2 seed in the Minneapolis Region, while Southern Mississippi is seeded third. The Golden Eagles have an RPI of 32, the best of any school that did not make the NCAA Tournament.
The Missouri-Southern Miss winner will take on either top-seeded Minnesota or fourth-seeded St. Mary’s next week for the right to advance to the NIT Final Four in New York.
