Struemph gets save

SPRINGFIELD — Erin Struemph picked up the save for Missouri State in the Bears’ 6-3 victory Saturday in the first game of a Missouri Valley Conference doubleheader against Bradley.

Struemph (St. Elizabeth High School) pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn her second save of the season,

Struemph allowed four unearned runs while striking out seven in taking the loss in the nightcap as Bradley posted a 4-0 victory to get the split.

Missouri State is 15-8 overall, 1-1 in the conference.
