Cardinal Ritter wins Class 3 over Barstow

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Sean-Michael Clancey scored 22 points and hit the go-ahead free throw to help Cardinal Ritter defeat Barstow 57-48 in the Class 3 boys championship Saturday.

With the game tied at 45 and 1:40 remaining, Clancey converted two free throws as part of a 9-0 run for Cardinal Ritter (26-5) that ended with the Lions ahead 52-45 with 33.6 seconds left.

A 3-pointer by Jeriah Horne ended the run, but was Barstow's only scoring in the final 3:42.

Horne led the Knights (27-3) with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Barstow trailed by no more than six points for the first three quarters, and a 10-0 run in the final quarter left the team ahead 45-43 with 3:42 remaining.

Jah-Kobe Womack added 11 points for Cardinal Ritter, which won its seventh title in school history.
