Dustin Byfuglien and Andrew Ladd scored for the Jets (30-29-9), who have lost six straight and are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Jets failed to earn a point as they had in three of the previous five losses.

SHARKS 4, ISLANDERS 3

UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Matt Nieto and Jason Demers scored first-period goals, and the San Jose Sharks made the most of 26 shots against the New York Islanders in a 4-3 victory on Friday night.

FLAMES 4, STARS 3, SO

DALLAS (AP) - Mike Cammalleri scored two goals, Corban Knight netted the winner in a shootout, and Calgary erased a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat Dallas.

It was the Stars' first home game since forward Rich Peverley collapsed on their bench on Monday.

Peverley got a standing ovation when he was shown on the video board in the first period, four nights after he was revived by medical personnel during a game against Columbus that was postponed.

The Stars looked as though they were on their way to a second straight win since Peverley's collapse, but the Flames scored a pair of goals 3 minutes apart to get even late in the third.

With the Flames trailing 3-1 with 7 minutes left in regulation, Calgary's Paul Byron lifted a shot past goalie Tim Thomas from in front late in a power play.

Cammalleri then got behind Thomas and stuffed in a loose puck for his second tying goal of the game with 4:30 remaining.
