Preliminary investigation reveals no evidence of foul play

Authorities have identified the man and toddler found dead Friday in a Camden County home. Officials say 40-year-old Robert William Burns and 2-year-old Sadie Marie Burns were found Friday morning about nine miles south of Camdenton.

According to the Camden County Sheriff's Office, about 10:30 a.m. Friday Camden County authorities responded to a reported death at a residence in the 7300 block of State Highway D.

Upon arrival, authorities found the bodies in the home. Immediate family members have been notified.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Camden County Medical Examiner's Office, said the preliminary investigation revealed no evidence of foul play.

The bodies were transported to Southwest Missouri Forensics in Springfield for autopsy. The cause of death won't be available until the medical examiner issues a final report, the Camden County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities say the investigation continues.
