Tatman withdraws from 2nd Ward consideration

Allen Tatman has withdrawn his name from consideration for the open 2nd Ward seat on the Jefferson City Council.

Tatman, who owns Paddy Malone's, was nominated by 2nd Ward Councilman J. Rick Mihalevich on Monday for the seat recently vacated by Shawn Schulte.

Tatman said he was withdrawing due to the time considerations involved in serving on the council in addition to his business endeavors.

"After careful reconsideration of the time requirements and responsibilities necessary to serve as a councilman of City of Jefferson, and in light of the obligations I currently have with my business at Paddy Malone's and Wylde Irish Tours, I have withdrawn my name from consideration for 2nd Ward Council seat of the City of Jefferson. I just do not have the time to give all three endeavors the attention needed," Tatman wrote on his Facebook page Thursday. "I am certain that either Carolyn McDowell or Laura Ward will be a fine representative of the 2nd Ward, and I wish them only the best."
