Terrill Eugene Reynolds, 37, of Jefferson City, was taken into custody Thursday on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a concealable firearm and third degree assault.

Although no one was injured in the shots fired incident, Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers said there was a female "that was assaulted at that location" who suffered minor injuries.

According to an FPD press release, a 9mm handgun was located in the vehicle at the time of Reynolds' arrest. The release stated the handgun was stolen.

Also taken into custody Thursday morning was Kirsti L. Reynolds, 24, of Jefferson City. She was arrested on an outstanding Cole County warrant for forgery.

According to the release, Fulton police initially responded to a call about shots fired just after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Ninth and Jefferson streets.

Maj. Roger Rice said the call itself was unusual.

"On most of these (shots fired), we never get a call," Rice said. "This one was reported, and people in the neighborhood saw it."

Upon arrival at the scene Tuesday night, officers found three 9mm shell casings and were told by witnesses that a black male had fired several shots into the air. Police identified Terrill Reynolds as the suspect during the course of the investigation.

Fulton police received information Thursday afternoon that Reynolds was at the AZZ Central Electric building in Callaway County. The Fulton Police Department and the Callaway County Sheriff's Office responded and took Terrill Reynolds and Kirsti Reynolds, who was driving the vehicle in which Terrill Reynolds was found, into custody.

Terrill Reynolds is at the Callaway County Jail on $10,000 bond. He also had a no bond warrant out of Cole County.

According to Missouri Casenet, Missouri's online court records website, a no bond warrant was issued for Terrill Reynolds Thursday out of Cole County for felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance from an arrest made on March 10 by the Jefferson City Police Department.

A Casenet search for Terrill Reynolds also revealed a string of other charges, including guilty pleas in April 2012 for misdemeanor charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and theft/stealing where value of the property was under $500. Reynolds was convicted in December 2012 on felony charges of robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Kirsti Reynolds is at the Callaway County Jail on $5,000 bond.

A Casenet search for Kirsti Reynolds also brought up several past charges, most recently a DWI and other traffic violations in 2011.

Myers said the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be pending.
