JC man charged after traffic stop

A Jefferson City man was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop on Monday.

David Rapier, 50, of 6515 Eichholz Drive, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving while revoked.

A Jefferson City police officer, familiar with the vehicle that Rapier drove, stopped him in the 1900 block of Southridge.

Rapier had two active felony warrants with no bond.

A search of Rapier's vehicle by a K-9 unit turned up a lock box under the passenger seat. Inside the box were several bags of methamphetamine and a digital scale along with $1,343 in cash.
