The Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) board's finance committee presented the agency's 2013 audit to the board Tuesday, saying "it was a clean audit, as usual."
Evers & Company found that the library's assets of cash and investments total more than $1.9 million, up 9.25 percent from last year's audit.
At Tuesday's board meeting, the board also approved new bylaws.
Board members were also told:
• MRRL is participating in the First Friday Arts Strolls by setting up a booth to raise awareness of everything the library has to offer.
• The MRRL Foundation has accepted four new members.
• The foundation plans to host a Sherlock Holmes Reader's Theater on Nov. 7-8.
• The library director search committee has narrowed applications down to three, possibly four candidates, to bring in for in-person interviews.
