Dear Editor:
Proposed zoning for Cole County is a glorified homeowner's association, no more or less. Once again, government is attempting to expand its already invasive hold on people's lives under the aegis of "protecting" your property. In fact, it's just another way to control people and play big brother.
Even worse, the good people of Jefferson City proper are allowed to vote on Aug. 5 in spite of the zoning measure not having an impact on city residents. Talk about stacking the deck.
I would urge every voter to vote no to zoning and strike yet another blow for limited government, free markets, and liberty and freedom.
