3 injured in single car crash

Two Jefferson City men and a Holts Summit woman suffered injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Cole County on Saturday.

The accident happened at 12:10 a.m. on Route E, one mile west of Honey Creek Creek Road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Davenport, 39, of Jefferson City was traveling east in a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, and then traveled off the right side of the roadway. Davenport over-corrected, causing the vehicle to veer off the left side of the roadway and overturn, the Patrol reported.

Two passengers - Micheal D. Anderson, 36, and Alisha R. Estes, 26 - suffered injuries. Anderson was treated and released from Capital Region Medical Center for minor injuries. Estes remains in fair condition. Hospital personnel reported Davenport was treated, but left the hospital without being released.

The two men were wearing seat belts; Estes was not.
