JC woman named Food Bank regional coordinator

Betsy Dudenhoeffer is taking her passion for nonprofits to the next level, tackling a new role as regional coordinator of the southern/central counties for The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.

Although her new position is full time, she will be able to work from home, and also continue as full-time marketing director for Central Dairy - a position she has held for more than two years.

She said her role with Central Dairy may change some, but she'll continue doing all of the company's social media.

She's joining Michelle Bayer at the food bank. Bayer is the southern regional coordinator, and the duo will work together to promote the food bank's efforts in the Jefferson City area.

"Ninety-five percent of it is just relationship building," Dudenhoeffer said. "It's fundraising, working with local pantries and distributing food to the people who are hungry. I'll be the liaison now for the food bank with the United Way, so I'll submit the reports and so forth.

"I'm basically the face of the food bank for the southern and central counties."

She said her time serving on nonprofit organization boards makes her a great fit for the position. The organization board she was most involved with was that of the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital City. She has termed out as a board member, but she said she's still involved with the organization.

"I have a heart for the nonprofit world, and this just totally made sense for me," she said of her position with the food bank. "I'm really excited about it."
