OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - David Clausen, a senior-to-be at Jefferson City High School, won the USTA Heart of America Open held Tuesday at the Overland Park Racquet Club.
Clausen started out with a win against Lee Fitchell of Overland Park by a 6-2, 6-0 score.
He then beat Thompson Tong of Olathe, Kan., by a score of 6-0, 4-6, 10-5 (match tiebreaker) to claim the crown.
