After nearly two years in business, Finishing Touches Fabulous Finds will close its Jefferson City doors for good.
The home decor and specialty gift store was opened in October 2012 in the Village Square by owners James and Tricia Kellerman. After much thought, the Kellermans decided it was time to close.
"Finishing Touches was always a dream of mine," Tricia said. "I got to live that dream for the last two years."
When the store closes at the end of August, the couple will focus their energy toward a cause that is near and dear to their hearts - CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates, where James acts as the executive director of the local program.
"We want people to know how much we appreciate everyone's love and support over the years," Tricia noted.
Although the Kellermans will miss having the shop and visiting with customers, they look forward to having more time to devote to CASA and to their family.
As Finishing Touches prepares to close, everything in the store is marked at 40 percent off. Tricia plans to sell all the store's inventory, including the furniture displays, and will be bringing out the Christmas and fall decor this week. Future markdowns will be advertised on the Finishing Touches Fabulous Finds Facebook page.
