Woman charged with domestic assault; threatens man with knife, resists arrest

A Jefferson City woman was taken into custody Saturday following an incident where she held a man at knife point.

Police probable cause statements show Francesca Martinez, 38, of 505 Ellis Blvd., is charged with second-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Martinez, pushed, bit and held the man at knife point at a residence in the 100 block of Ventura Avenue.

Officers found her and she refused to give a statement.

When the officers attempted to take her into custody, Martinez used her legs to brace herself against walls and furniture and eventually was dragged to a police car.

As of Monday she was being held on $75,000 bond.
