BizBeat: Furniture store celebrates new storefront, inventory

Bescheinen Family Furniture of Loose Creek is holding a grand opening sale and ribbon-cutting in conjunction with its newly renovated storefront.

The ribbon-cutting will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Everything in the store is on sale, and will continue to be on sale through the end of the month, said Stephanie Wright, the store's general manager. The store has an expanded inventory to go along with the renovation, she said.

Wright said the new storefront is the second part of a three-phase remodeling project. The first phase, a new concrete parking lot, was finished two years ago. A couple years from now, they'll embark on a renovation of the inside of the store, she said.

The furniture store was started by Wright's grandfather, Hubert Bescheinen, in 1946. He and his wife, Pauline, initially sold and repaired radios. The store's location in Loose Creek has changed a couple times since then, and it has expanded to a second location in Versailles in 1991.
